In the book God Will Make a Way, by Henry Cloud and John Townsend, the authors quote a friend as saying that if we aren't at least somewhat fearful concerning what God has called us to do, then we aren't being challenged enough. It's easy to stick with those things that are familiar and to keep doing things that we know we can excel at. But growth in our calling requires that we step out in faith and allow God to stretch us.
